Famous American actor, film director, musician, screenwriter, and producer Johnny Depp profoundly sympathizes with the works of William Saroyan.

Johnny Depp "I want something that every parent wants for their child. For them to be happy and not to get into the bad sides of life. My favorite book is William Saroyan's "Path of Your Life" book.

The book starts with the following thought: "Live without causing evil to others, and do not let evil be done to you."

In a 2016 interview, Johnny Depp discussed meeting his all-time favorite actor Marlon Brando for the first time and how they bonded over the fact they both carried this page folded inside their wallets and used it as a roadmap to living their lives. William Saroyan's "Human Comedy" book is tattooed on Depp's right hand when he portrays  Jack Sparrow as well.
